Understanding the economic benefits of active transport
The Institute for Sensible Transport formed part of an international consortium that recently completed an economic assessment of the benefits of active transport. Commissioned by the Queensland Government, the report is amongst the most comprehensive evaluations of the health, transport and environmental impacts of walking and cycling. This is the first of two reports commissioned to gain a better understanding of how to integrate benefit cost analysis into walking and cycling programs.
